CDA Issues RFP for 138 Fontana Boulevard Site

The Village of Fontana Community Development Authority has reissued its Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 138 Fontana Boulevard development site. Proposals are due by Monday, April 30, 2012.

Village Assessor Sets Local Office Hours, 2012 Open Book Dates

One of the village assessor will be at Fontana Village Hall on four Fridays in 2012, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to meet with local property owners. Contact the Village assessment firm, Accurate Appraisal, via the toll-free number 800-770-3927 or via e-mail at info@accurateassessor.com, to schedule an appointment for office hours.

The Fridays that the assessor is scheduled to be in Fontana are February 3, May 18, June 22, and July 6, 2012.

The Open Book dates for the 2012 Assessment Roll have been scheduled for Friday, July 20, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 10:00 am to Noon at the Village Hall. The Board of Review will conduct hearings on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

2011 Assessment Information

The 2011 Village of Fontana Board of Review was held September 29, 2011 at which three hearings were conducted. Following the hearings, the Board voted unanimously to adjust one of the assessments and to affirm the other two assessments.

Monthly Tornado Siren Test Set for Third Wednesday

The Village of Fontana Police Department has announced that Walworth County will be conducting its monthly testing of Tornado Sirens on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. Severe Weather Local Information
